I LOVE the thought of touring homes in the comfort of my home while still in my pj’s, don’t you?
While Home Tours are definitely my idea of fun, the driving, trudging, parking and slipping booties on and off, on and off, on and off are not.
So this year’s virtual tour of the Raleigh/Wake County Remodeler’s Home Tour is the first activity on my list this weekend.
It’s in 3D and will be available for viewing for the rest of this year! So when you see some fantastic ideas to use in your own home, you can keep going back to it for inspiration, motivation and information.
Here’s the link for the Tour magazine. There are 18 gorgeous projects to wander through at a leisurely pace in the aforementioned pajamas.
Pay special attention to #8, 9 and 16: done by my friends at Blue Ribbon Residential Construction. KathyLynn Gariboldi is the designer and always creates such gorgeous rooms. Here’s her website. I’ve done a couple of projects with Blue Ribbon. They’re fantastic to work with.
Below are 2 rooms from a spectacular Blue Ribbon project I completed last year. They’re not In the Tour, but I’ll write about them soon.
And don’t miss #5 and 11, done by Hilliard Contracting, Inc. My friend Anne Harvey is a kitchen and bath designer who works magic in every project she touches.
I can’t wait to “walk” through every house in peace and quiet and stare at details for as long as I want to.
Remodeling tours show us all what can be done in our older homes. Many of us don’t want a new house, regardless of the admittedly fabulous bells and whistles. We love older homes, even if the ceilings aren’t high and the closets aren’t real big and the bathrooms aren’t Instagram worthy.
But wait a minute, remodelers can change all that! You can have the charm and coziness of an older home AND a fantastic kitchen, glamorous bathroom and even a laundry room you’re happy to spend time in.
I’ll be there on the Tour, right around the corner from you. Let me know what you think about the Virtual version afterward, okay?
With sparkle and texture,
Anne
