It all started with...
... making floor plan outlines with pine needles. This was in the woods surrounding our log cabin summer home on beautiful Lake Wesserunsett in Maine. Can you imagine that? I must have been 6 or 7 years old and was already looking at the arrangement of the space we call home. I guess it's no surprise that I chose the interior design profession!
My design philosophy
I'm not a design dictator. Instead, I help clients build confidence in their design choices and create beautiful, functional rooms that reflect their personal taste.
The result: Guests, family and friends feel welcomed in your home and enjoy being there. When you relax with a book--or a glass of wine--you're in a comfy chair, the lighting is good and there's a table at hand. Your home is a haven. Your rooms are filled with favorite colors, comfortable and stylish furniture, accessories and artwork. These tell an authentic story of your life, family travels, passions.
This is how I feel about my home, and what I want for you, too. My work is built upon careful listening, creative thinking and keen attention to detail. When we work together on a two-hour consultation, my goal is always to help you create a beautiful home customized to your preferences and within your budget.
Roots
I'm a New England native who has called North Carolina home for the past 20+ years. I'm drawn to nature and architecture, and my happy places are in kayaks and beautiful buildings. I love my husband, grown children, grand-kids and Raven, our family dog.
And chocolate. Every day.
