She wanted color in her house (NO gray)!

“I wanted a colorful house - and was using color theory as the base (e.g. greens for bedrooms, etc.). Anne was able to help me select a host of colors which all worked together and didn’t disrupt the eye. She also matched the color tones to other items in the room to make sure it didn’t contrast (e.g. countertops, cabinets, floors). She was very creative and saw things I wouldn’t have guessed - how a painted door, fireplace and trey ceiling in my bedroom would look! I love how all the colors flow together from room to room or within a room. She was thoughtful in how I would use the home - my downstairs are warmer tones and my upstairs are cooler tones. The paint colors constantly make me smile. Bravo Maestra!”

Nitasha, Durham

An older, thoughtfully renovated house in Durham with a few challenges:

“Anne was phenomenal. I have just moved into a new home with some unique design challenges that completely stymied me; Anne to the rescue! she offered suggestions that resolved the big design issues as well as many nuanced ideas that can turn a good living space into a great living space. Anne was wonderfully attentive to my thoughts, understanding my preferences and incorporating them into her suggestions. her followup video was a tremendous addition to our design session as she recalled the many discussions we had throughout the house. and within a few days I received the color swatches which helped me better see the color choices we discussed. if the need for design help ever arises again, or if any of my friends need a helping hand, you can be assured that Anne’s name will be at the top of the list. She is a gem, and I appreciate her help in turning my new house into my new home.”

A Wake Forest homeowner who needed to finalize her choices and make her home feel beautifully finished:

“Anne DeCocco is a knowledgeable interior designer. I hired her for the two-hour design consultation. From start to finish she impressed me and made me feel comfortable that I had employed the right person. I wasn’t certain exclusively with m choices—I wanted a second opinion who could provide professional advice concerning placement, colors and additional accents in my home. After all, decorating can be expensive and who wants to invest in a bad choice. Anne provided me with immeasurable details about curtains, tables, rugs, etc. I am currently working the plan and I am very pleased with how the rooms are transforming. Anne is dynamic and a true professional. I would hire her again because she delivers on her word and she has impeccable taste. The next time I will choose the Shop & Show service!”

A Raleigh ranch that needs to work for a modern family:

“Anne helped me on two projects (so far). The first was my bedroom. I now have a beautiful and relaxing space. I didn’t really believer her when she said draperies make the space, but it’s true. And I overcame my fear of color on the walls! The second was a renovation that included the Sun Room, Laundry Room and 1/2 bath. I never thought a laundry room could be fun and function at the same time. Everything is organized and I have tons of storage. The sun room is gorgeous. Beautiful hues of blues and greens. Love sitting out there reading. And the 1/2 bath is an addition to this area of the house. People can come in from the garage or back door and be near the bathroom. I would highly recommend Anne for your project. I will be using her soon for a 2 Hour Design consultation!”

An affordable way to upgrade any home:

“I asked Anne to help me design the interior of my new townhome. I needed help figuring out where to place the furniture, paint colors, tile choices, curtains, etc. and perhaps most important, ensuring that all the choices worked together. We scheduled a two-hour appointment, but before even meeting, Anne “picked my brain” regarding what I wanted. How would I describe (keywords) what I wanted the finished product to be? Could I send her pictures of colors, furniture, or rooms that I liked? This allowed her to be prepared for our meeting. And sure enough, she came prepared. Before we were done, we had a pretty specific plan worked out on how to proceed. But wait, there’s ore! Anne then followed up by emailing me a visual design board of everything we had talked about. Furniture placement, paint colors, fabric choices - everything. I could not be happier with Anne and the services she provided. She is knowledgeable, creative, accessible and just a great resource. I would recommend her without hesitation.”

Chapel Hill new construction design consultation benefits everyone:

“ We are currently in the process of building a new home and believed that it was a prudent move to hire a designer to prevent us from possibly making a costly mistake. Honestly, a two hour consult is much more affordable than purchasing a nonrefundable light fixture. SO, after searching for designers on Houzz, we decided to try DeCocco Design for an initial design consult. We liked her use of finish trim in her photos and thought she would be able to understand what look we are going for in a new build and provide helpful advice. We were primarily concerned that our choices of color, furniture, wood trims…may not transition well from room to room. Anne offered some great advice and suggestions that will truly enhance the look of the home, as well as separate it from others. As other reviewers have written, Anne comes fully prepared and stays on point. Our builder also attended the initial consult and we all fully appreciated her candor and honesty on some design elements. Our consult concluded and with within a very short amount of time she followed up with notes for our information. We are so glad that we met Anne and decided to spend the time and money for this consult. We are very comfortable to recommend Anne as your design consultant. You won’t be disappointed. “
