It's time for a good book!
A Gentleman In Moscow, by Amor Towles.
Actually, I listened to it on Audible. Being read to when I’m in the car or doing something like cleaning bathrooms is really nice, so I’m a big Audible fan.
If I wait until the end of the day to start reading, my eyes get tired way too quickly. With Audible, the book is there for me at any time.
In his book, Amor Towles paints an amazing picture of a world we will never see.
His characters are genuine, fascinating and multi-dimensional. Real people. The story takes us on a journey filled with Russian history, architecture and food. Lots of food! And the journey is long and tough for everyone involved.
By the end, I was exhausted, but immediately wanted more - always the sign of a good book. I’m going to “read” it again this winter.
With sparkle and texture,
Anne
